DMV Letter

Attached is my letter to the DMV, it points out how most of us are not paying the proper tax on our vehicles when purchased.  It is long but it is accurate and explains the problem in detail.

I had written to the DMV Three times before I got any answer.  When I got an answer it was incomplete and incorrect, I still wait to hear from them with the correct information.

I have written to Governor Easley four times but have never received any response from him.  I guess he is not responsive to the people of North Carolina, something we will fix when I become governor and respond to each and every correspondence sent to my office.

Correction:  On Oct.2, 2007 after four tries I finally got a response from Gov. Easley, his response, " you will receive a response directly from that  office (referencing the DMV)." 

As of March 16, 2008, I have not received a response from the DMV
