Aren't You getting Tired of Corrupt Politicians?
Well so am I.
I am doing something about it, I am running for office. What are
You doing? All of us that vote must take some
responsibility for those in office after all we put them there. We
must get smart in the way we decide who we vote for. Almost
all, 90%of us, believe in term limits but when we vote we vote the
incumbent in over 90% of the time , this simply does not pass the
common sense test. Until You are ready to make
changes the corruption will go on and You will be
responsible. This may be harsh but it is true
You must fix the political process and not rely on the politicians to
do it for you.
Follow the
money, follow the money, follow the money. I have said this
many times before, you follow the money and you find the
corruption.
I do not take
any money from business's or Political Action Committees (PACs) or
special interest groups. I only accept
contributions
from individuals and in the maximum amount of $100.00.
I have done something to make the election process better, what
will You do?
One person told
me the corruption is just a part of politics, it is a part of
politics because You allow it to be. You
can fix this but You must act.
Politicians
have only a 13% approval rating among the public, military persons
enjoy a 79% approval rating. I am not a politician. I am a
retired military office. Do You see a possible
solution to the corruption?
Read on and see
how out of control this corruption is.
Look at these
politicians from North Carolina, who went to jail; Frank Ballance
(D) money laundering, James Green (D) tax evasion, Meg Scott
Phipps (D) 4 years in prison for taking brides and most recently
Jim Black (D) who took illegal campaign money from a person in a
bathroom. He will resign his seat and retire in
disgrace. But wait these politicians don't retire in
disgrace in fact people still support them and make excuses for
their behavior. Meg Scott Phipps, a convicted felon, is now
the director of Christian Education at her local church in
Alamance County.
Nationally
let's look
at Washington DC mayor Marion Berry found with hookers in a
posh motel room in Washington DC. They had him on tape
using cocaine. He went to jail, when he got out the public
voted him back in only to find money "missing" from the states
coffers. How dumb can the voters be?
What about
Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R) from California. He
was caught taking
brides of over 2 million dollars now he is in jail. And let
us not forget Sandy Berger, who was caught stealing classified
documents from the National Archives. He stuffed the documents
into his pants and walked out the door.
Remember Ray Nagen the mayor of New Orleans who abandoned his people during
hurricane Katrina. He fled and left the poor to sit on roof
tops until the great United States military saved his citizens.
If it were not for the military some of them would probably still be
sitting there. The voters re-elected Nagen. How stupid can
they be?
Even if the
politicians don't go to jail they don't represent
You.
In Charlotte voters overwhelmingly voted against the 300
million dollar Bobcat Arena and were opposed to the 400 million
dollar light rail system but the city politicians moved forward anyway.
And how
embarrassed should we the people of North Carolina be who
elected John
Edwards. He showed up for less than half of the votes in the
Senate during his last two years in office. Is he doing his job?
Would your employer let you show up 20 hours of a 40 hours week
and still pay you? I think not. He represented You in the congress
of the United States, is that the best we can do?
Parties are not
immune to the lure of money. The DNC paid over $719,000 in
fines to the Federal Election Commission for taking money from
contributors in Korea, China and other foreign governments.
Do you want foreigners deciding who will be elected in this
country? Well that is what is happening.
These examples
are the ones that got caught, how many got away? Statically
only about 10% get caught so the other 90% are still out there and
you are still voting them in as incumbents. I could go on and on
with the corruption but the real question is what are
You going
to do about it? You keep electing the same people over and
over and over again and expect different results, that is the
definition of insanity.
How did these
corrupt politicians get into office? Very simply
You
put them there.
How can we fix
the corruption? I am sorry to say the only way to fix
this is to eliminate the current politicians and elect new ones to
replace them, there is no other "fix."
If
You want
to end the corruption Vote Nielsen and together we will end the
corruption.
One of my
firsts acts when elected will be to form a task force and
aggressively investigate all candidates for campaign finance
irregularities. It is time You
and I investigate them.
