FCC Complaint against University of North Carolina

I can't think of a better example than this about how our colleges and universities are getting out of touch with the public.

The UNC is conducting a series of three debates with the gubernatorial candidates in January.  There are currently three Democratic and three Republican candidates who have declared their intention to run. All of the candidate have been invited o the debates except me.  Why?

It was explained to me in a letter by UNC that they are only inviting "legally qualified" candidates who are running for either the Democratic or Republican parties.   I wrote an email to UNC and explained that I am a "legally qualified" candidate but they still will not invite me.

Now we see one of the problems with our colleges and universities. They  have become such as bastion for liberalism and they believe they can make the decision as to who is a valid candidate.  They don't think you are smart enough to make that decision so they make it for you, how arrogant.  Whether I am a valid candidate is not for those that use our public airways to decide, you the people will decide who is and who is not a valid candidate in the voting booth.  We must not leave your voting decisions to some bureaucrat.

Those that transmit over the airwaves are using the property of the public.  They are licensed and are required to, " operate in the public interest"  and to afford reasonable opportunity for the discussion of views of interest to the public.   The law further requires "equal opportunities" and prohibits "censorship."

If our forefathers, who wrote the constitution, knew of this they would turn over in their graves. UNC  should be willing to present all views on the issues but they have decided for you who they think are the best candidates.  I wonder what they are really afraid of?

Here is the contact info for UNC, send them an email and tell them what You think of their policy.
