TALK RADIO WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU

Talk radio has become a very important part of our lives and played  a significant part in this election.  Many of us listen in our homes, cars, vans, while we work in our yards and garages.  Talk radio is with us everywhere.

The stations listed on my main age were kind enough to invite me on their show and present fair coverage for all candidates.   I urge you to listen to them and support their advertisers.

I Have been silenced

However some radio and Television stations have not been fair in their coverage and refuses to let me participate some of these are:

WPTF680

WPTF 680AM the Bill LuMaye show; I have made several requests to be on the show all have been denied.  Bill states that he has had on all the gubernatorial candidates but this is not true.  On April 11, 2008 Richard Moore was on the show. Mr. LuMaye thanked him for being on "again" and told him he was, "welcome on the show anytime."  Curtis Media, Bill LuMaye and WPTF have exhibited extreme bias by shutting out one candidate.

UNC-TV: (see my FCC complaint)

UNC-TV has had three debates with Richard Moore and Bev Perdue but they will not let me participate.  Although I have made repeated requests to be in the debates they have refused.  In all fairness they did allow me and the other candidates to participate in a 5 minute interview.

WRAL-TV

WRAL-TV and in particulate the David Crabtree show will not let me participate.  Mr. Crabtree has had the other Democratic candidates on a one-on-one interview that has aired several times.  I have made repeated requests to appear on the show but have been denied.  In fairness WRAL.com did put my bio on their website and included me in the candidate match part of the website.

There is a law (see FCC law) requiring  stations that are licensed by the FCC to grant equal time to candidates and at the same rate (in these cases free).  They know I can't afford to take them to court so once again the person with little resources is shut out.  These stations know this and  take advantage of all of us by skirting the law.

My suggestion is to listen to these stations and then don't buy the products they advertise and tell the advertisers just why.  We as the people will be heard when this happens.  Whether you support me this is an issue of fairness for all and I know if you have read this far that you believe in fairness.
